General Session - Healthcare Marketing Has Changed: How to Lead Through the Noise

Healthcare marketing no longer operates quietly in the background.
Patient decisions now happen before search begins, experiences surface publicly on social media, AI shapes discovery and trust signals, and privacy expectations extend into websites and measurement tools—often without practice leaders realizing it.


This session is designed for physicians, administrators, and operations
leaders who rely on marketing but don’t want to manage it. Rather than tactics or technical detail, this talk explains what has changed, where practices are most commonly exposed without knowing it, and why small oversights are now more likely to turn into visible problems—from lost patient trust to wasted spend or unwanted scrutiny.


Drawing on national consumer behavior research, large-scale social
listening, digital maturity benchmarks, and real-world agency experience, this session connects the dots between marketing, access, reputation, and risk in plain language. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of how modern healthcare marketing actually works—and what leaders need to understand to stay aligned, confident, and protected without taking on another job.

Corey Gehrold | VP & Managing Director, Insight Marketing Group

Corey Gehrold is the Vice President and Managing Director at Insight
Marketing Group. He has 18+ years of experience successfully marketing medical practices via traditional, virtual and inbound marketing methods. He currently serves as a founding member of the Healthcare Management Association, and was previously the Digital Outreach Chair on the board of the Healthcare Leaders Association of Northeast Florida (HLANEFL). Away from the office, he enjoys listening to leadership and marketing podcasts, traveling, and rooting for the NBA’s Orlando Magic. As of July 2022, Corey is a new dad to a beautiful girl, Amelia Hope.
